Remy Ma has got to be the biggest dick head in the world.
How she gonna shoot somebody and think she gonna get away with it? I just don't get it. What was going on in her mind? I guess she was 'conceited'. Well, on the bright side, she'll have time to practice her "lean back" moves. LMAO
I want to see her "walk around the metal detectors" this time...

Rapper Remy Ma Is Convicted of Assault
By SAMUEL MAULL – 45 minutes ago
NEW YORK (AP) — Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was led out of a Manhattan courtroom Thursday, weeping and in handcuffs, after being convicted of shooting a woman outside a nightclub last summer.
The defense had conceded that Remy Ma, whose real name is Remy Smith, fired a shot toward a friend she suspected of stealing $3,000, but said it was an accident.
Smith, 26, faces up to 25 years in prison following her conviction in state Supreme Court for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.
The singer was nominated for a Grammy as part of the Terror Squad for the 2004 hit "Lean Back." She also has appeared on recordings with Busta Rhymes and Eminem.
Smith quietly wiped away tears as the verdict was read, then wailed loudly and sobbed openly after she was outside the courtroom. Many of her supporters also cried.
A few supporters of Makeda Barnes Joseph, the woman who was shot, cheered and wept when they heard the verdict. Some chanted "bye, bye" in an almost taunting singsong as Smith left the courtroom.
Justice Rena Uviller, denying a request by defense lawyer Ivan Fisher, ordered Smith jailed without bail while awaiting sentencing on April 23.
She was acquitted of witness tampering and gang assault, charges related to a nightclub attack in the New York City borough of the Bronx on the boyfriend of a witness who ultimately testified against her. A man who tried to help the boyfriend also was beaten.
Joseph was shot after a party at a nightclub in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood on July 14, 2007.
Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh said the defendant "took an illegal .45-caliber automatic and loaded it with hollow-point bullets," then used both hands to cock the weapon as she got into the car. "She took every step you had to take to shoot somebody," the prosecutor said.
The rapper demanded that Joseph dump the contents of her purse; Joseph denied she had taken the rapper's money and refused. Fisher said the gun went off accidentally as the women struggled over the bag.
Joseph, who was shot in the abdomen, testified that she underwent three operations during a three-week hospital stay.
"Remy's taking this very, very hard," Fisher said after the verdict. "She didn't anticipate this."
Fisher said he plans to appeal.
Wild and crazy big girl slaughters child with bare hands!!!
This is not funny at all.
Fuck it. Who am I kidding?

Police say obese relative murdered toddler
Initially, investigators thought woman had crushed 2-year old nephew
The Associated Press
updated 9:11 a.m. ET, Thurs., March. 27, 2008
LA JOYA, Texas - A morbidly obese woman who authorities originally thought might have crushed her 2-year-old nephew to death was arraigned in her bedroom Wednesday on a capital murder charge, accused of striking him in the head.
Mayra Lizbeth Rosales, who weighs at least 800 pounds, had told police that she slipped and hit the boy's head with her hand and that he fell from a chair. But investigators said the boy died of two blows to the head. The autopsy also found skull fractures that were estimated to be about a month old.
The 27-year-old bedridden woman was photographed and fingerprinted at her La Joya home before being released on a personal recognizance bond, Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said.
Rosales' sister and the boy's mother, Jamie Lee Rosales, was arrested on a charge of injury to a child, accused of failing to protect the boy. She was being held on $50,000 bond. A capital murder conviction could carry a possible sentence of life in prison or the death penalty.
Safety plan
The 20-year-old mother had signed a safety plan in April with Child Protective Services that advised her not to leave her children with her sister because of the woman's disability, according to charging documents.
A woman who answered the phone at Mayra Rosales' home and wouldn't give her name said the family would have no comment. Authorities had no attorney contact information for the sisters.
Eliseo Gonzalez Jr. and his two younger siblings had been left in the sole supervision of Mayra Rosales, authorities say.
Less than two hours later, Mayra Rosales phoned her sister to say that Eliseo had gotten stuck under her bed and his head was swollen, according to the charging documents. Eliseo was removed from life support and declared dead that afternoon.
Bobby Contreras, Hidalgo County justice of the peace, said last week that investigators believed the woman had fallen on the child.

Something I found on dealing with the lost of a friend. If you are going through this, hopefully it helps you!!
http://christianwomentoday.com/womenmen/friendsfail.html
Some friends grow apart because their lives become filled with other interests or move apart. The most painful broken relationship is the one that separates as a result of unresolved conflict.
Whatever the reason, friendships come and go in our lives. When the special friendships you thought would last a lifetime are broken or lost, the wounds may require loving care in order to heal.
1. Grieve for the lost friendship. Grieving a lost relationship may take weeks, months or even years. A lot depends on how the friendship ends.
Admit the relationship has ended. Acceptance is the all-important positive side to rebuilding. You do not have to take on a load of guilt in order to accept that the relationship is over. Stay out of the "if only" game. The pain is intense as you realize the relationship has ended.
Suffer and grow. The way past the pain is to go all the way through it. The pain you are feeling is real. It hurts. Allow yourself to feel the pain. Use it as motivation to grow and make the crisis into an opportunity. The pain can be an excuse to remain bitter, angry, unhappy, or it can help you grow.
2. Avoid unhealthy coping mechanisms. As you go through this painful process, check yourself so as to avoid these unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Withdrawing -- Sometimes hurting people hide so others will not suspect their fear.
Becoming a busy-aholic -- Hiding behind busyness may delay the healing process and can also be very tiring.
Fearing aloneness -- Being alone can provide time for introspection, reflection, growth and development of the inner self. Emptiness can be replaced by inner fullness and strength. There is a healthy balance in spending time with others and being alone.
3. Let go
Close friendships require an interest in other people, empathy, loyalty and commitment. They also require the letting go of idealistic expectations and unrealistic demands. In letting go, we grow. Sometimes this may even require letting go of the friendship entirely.
Forgive. Forgiveness is an act of the will on the part of the offended person releasing the perpetrator even though you do not condone what they have done. Trust, however, needs to be earned. This is particularly important in dysfunctional relationships. If you are seeking inner freedom, forgiveness is not an option -- you simply must. Forgiveness involves realizing how much the Lord has forgiven. It enables you to forgive and see others' failures through the eyes of mercy. Good friends are good forgivers.
Deal with your emotions. Acknowledge the feelings of love, anger, bitterness, feelings of vindictiveness and look at them realistically. Invest emotionally in your own personal growth instead of investing in the dead relationship.
4. Risk loving again. Intimacy is risky, no doubt about it. Reaching out may result in rejection. Then why do it and get hurt? Why not play it safe? The cost is too high to not ever take the risk -- there are friends in your future who will be worth the risk and you may never know them if you don't try again.
Make yourself vulnerable. It is easy to fear rejection. If someone wants to share, but seems hesitant, lead the way by opening up first. It is a precious gift to your friends when they personally discover that you cherish confidentiality and hold their secrets close to your heart. Remember, vulnerability hastens bonding.
Realize the risk is worthwhile. As you reflect on the friends of your life, realize some were in your life for only a season. Each of your friends has woven into your being some of the very fiber of who you have become. Realize you may never know why some relationships end: Reflect on the positive blessings and the impact a friendship made on your life during the happy times. If the friendship was filled with betrayal and pain, reflect on the growth that took place in your own life as you learned to deal with this.
Finally, realize that going through a broken relationship leaves you with a choice -- to become bitter or better. Bitterness will only destroy you and never the person with whom you are angry. Which one will you choose?

My apologizes to Rappin' Granny!!! Madonna explodes onto American radio with her new "hip hop" song!!!
Its a bird, its a plane, its a 50 year old pop icon who refuses to stop topping the charts. I laughed all year at the thought of Madonna's new hip hop album, especially after her "American Life" rap, but it appears pop's queen of reinvention has hooked up with Timbaland, Pharrell, Justin in the crew and pulled out her potentially biggest hit on American radio since 2000's "Music".
Get it granny. I can't be mad!
She has already matched Fat-riah Carey's "Touch My Body" debut on radio. My only question is in this old school diva battle brewing between Madonna, Mariah, Janet Jackson, with Toni Braxton on the way, will radio give Janet a fair break finally so she can at least compete with her hott ass album?
Taz

From Radio and Records:
Also notable is the return of Madonna, who clocks in at No. 23 on CHR/Top 40 with “4 Minutes” (Warner Bros.), her record-tying 26th chart hit (and first in two years). The preview single from “Hard Candy,” due April 29, matches the format mark for most charted titles set by Mariah Carey just five weeks ago with “Touch My Body” (IDJMG). “4 Minutes,” featuring Justin Timberlake, who inducted Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month, also takes Most Increased Plays, up 2,147, the format’s best gain in more than three years.

'Wire' actor stabbed at Overlea party
Clanton, who played Savino, says he is in good condition
By Gus G. Sentementes and Brent Jones
Sun reporters
11:24 AM EDT, March 24, 2008
An actor on the Baltimore-based HBO series "The Wire" was stabbed in the chest and buttocks during a melee early yesterday at a social hall in Overlea.
About 2 a.m., Baltimore County police rushed to Overlea Caterers Inc., in the 6800 block of Belair Road, and used pepper spray to disperse a crowd of about 30 people, several of whom were fighting, a police spokesman said.
After the fight was over, police officers discovered that Christopher J. Clanton, 22, had been stabbed. Clanton, who played a recurring character on "The Wire," was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by ambulance, authorities said.
Reached by telephone this morning, Clanton, 22, said he was in good condition and expected to be released later today or tomorrow.
"Mayhem broke out," Clanton recounted. He said he was trying to push past a fight between two other men when someone started fighting with him, and others assaulted him.
"I was trying to get out of the way. I wanted to get past one of the guys that was involved," Clanton said. "It escalated from there."
Cpl. Michael Hill, a county police spokesman, said Clanton was the only person who reported being injured during the fight. At least 30 people were at the party, Hill said.
A manager at Overlea Caterers could not be immediately reached for comment this morning.
Clanton played Savino Bratton, a recurring character in "The Wire" who appeared in nine episodes in the first and fifth seasons. In the show's last season, Clanton's character -- a soldier in a drug organization -- was killed by Omar Little, who robbed drug dealers for a living.
The actor also was an extra on "The Corner," a 2000 HBO miniseries about a Baltimore family's struggle within inner-city drug culture. The miniseries was based on a book by former Sun reporter David Simon, who also created "The Wire," which ended this year.
Clanton has trained at Center Stage and with the Rising Stars Theater Troupe, according to his profile on IMDb, an online movie database.
The actor, who lives in Northeast Baltimore, has had his own encounters with the law.
In August 2006, Clanton pleaded guilty in Baltimore Circuit Court to manufacturing, distributing and dispensing a controlled dangerous substance and other drug-related charges.
He was given a five-year sentence, four years of which were suspended, and he was subsequently placed on three years of supervised probation.
"All of that is behind me," said Clanton, who has a 5-year-old daughter and who says he recently started his own production company, Never Enough Entertainment. "I'm actually moving forward," he said.
Confessional with Taz Jonez: Guess what ya'll, I am crazy!!
I been diagnosed by a therapist and it appears that I have been suffering from depression for the last few years? Isn't that fun? I kinda suspected it but now that its official I guess I need to take it more seriously so I can de-crazy myself. Whats even worst is my therapist is trying to say people like myself who suffer depression SHOULD NOT drink alcohol.
Taz not drinking alcohol? Yeah right?
What I did agree to do was to go for a month without drinking anything but an occassional glass of redwine, I gotta have something, (LOL)as well as change up my diet. There is actually a crazy people diet consisting of mostly whole foods that can actually make help crazy people feel better about themselves. Can you believe that?
So wish me luck party people. Hopefully this time next month I will feel better about myself, and stop being so damn self destructive. Its not sexy.
For any readers that might also suffer from unsexy depression, and want to some tips on how to better yourselves, check out this site. I found it helpful!!!

BLACK GIRLS ON BLAST: Judge declares to the sistas, "Enough with the stupid names"
Its about fucking time. These chicks was off the hook!! LMAO
TAZ
------------
(DETROIT) In a decision that’s expected to send shockwaves through the African-American community—and yet, give much relief to teachers everywhere—a federal judge ruled today that black women no longer have independent naming rights for their children. Too many black children—and many adults—bear names that border on not even being words, he said.
“I am simply tired of these ridiculous names black women are giving their children,” said U.S. Federal Judge Ryan Cabrera before rendering his decision. “Someone had to put a stop to it.”
The rule applies to all black women, but Cabrera singled out impoverished mothers.
“They are the worst perpetrators,” he said. “They put in apostrophes where none are needed. They think a ‘Q’ is a must. There was a time when Shaniqua and Tawanda were names you dreaded. Now, if you’re a black girl, you hope you get a name as sensible as one of those.”
Few stepped forward to defend black women—and black women themselves seemed relieved.
“It’s so hard to keep coming up with something unique,” said Uneeqqi Jenkins, 22, an African-American mother of seven who survives on public assistance. Her children are named Daryl, Q’Antity, Uhlleejsha, Cray-Ig, Fellisittee, Tay’Sh’awn and Day’Shawndra.
Beginning in one week, at least three white people must agree with the name before a black mother can name her child.
“Hopefully we can see a lot more black children with sensible names like Jake and Connor,” Cabrera said.
His ruling stemmed from a lawsuit brought by a 13-year-old girl whose mother created her name using Incan hieroglyphics.
“She said it would make me stand out,” said the girl, whose name can’t be reproduced by The Peoples News’ technology. “But it’s really just stupid.”
The National Association of Elementary School Teachers celebrated Cabrera’s decision.
“Oh my God, the first day of school you’d be standing there sweating, looking at the list of names wondering ‘How do I pronounce Q’J’Q’Sha.’?” said Joyce Harmon, NAEST spokeswoman. “Is this even English?”
The practice of giving black children outlandish names began in the 1960s, when blacks were getting in touch with their African roots, said historian Corlione Vest. But even he admits it got out of hand.
“I have a niece who’s six. I’m embarrassed to say I can’t even pronounce her name,” said Vest, a professor at Princeton University. “Whenever I want to talk to her, I just wait until she looks at me and then I wave her over.”
Cabrera’s ruling exempted black men because so few of them are actually involved in their children’s lives.

Taz Jonez in "DRAMA: With Emotions and Perspectives"
I was up with a friend all night thinking about how we let our emotions and perceptions distort our sense of reality especially in human relationships of all types. I had a friend in a situation, and in fact, ruined it because they didn't see it for what it was, but as they wanted it to be, and after all these years they are finally realizing that.
So here is what I came up with to help you readers and myself learn from my homie's mistakes. First of all, be able and strong enough to step out of a situation, and view it as an intellectual third party. Often times we view our personal situations with our hearts and not our minds, and because everybody is on different levels emotionally for whatever reason, whether past dramas or natural, this is never healthy. For instance ladies, you have a good platonic friend. He compliments you, and because you are viewing this with your emotions, you see these compliments as interest when they are in fact just compliments. That's when its important to step back as an intellectual and analyze the situation as someone looking in and not a participant. When you step back, and notice some questionable signs, its important to not just perceive what you want to perceive, but to communicate with the second party what exactly you are feeling. You never want your perception to become what you think is reality. Most of all, be strong enough to accept the answer you receive even if it was not what you wanted to hear. Do this early, and then move on in your situation accordingly.
Secondly, never ever approach this situation with a bottle of alcohol in hand. It further distorts whats real, and as a depressant it heightens the negative emotional impact overall, and that's never a good look, and it will make rejection that much worst!
Thirdly, keep people out your damn business. There is nothing more confusing then having every Tom, Dick and Jane giving you advice. How emotional are these people? What have they gone through to make them perceive your situation the way they do? Lots of times, they just intensify the wrong emotions that you already had. Thats a hell no and will surely lead to destruction because it breeds the worst kind of rumors. Between their advise, your emotions, and the rumors flying you won't know if you are coming or going...LOL
And lastly, check your emotions all together. Be emotionally stable and independent, and if you aren't emotionally independent, work at becoming so. The worst thing to do is to be emotionally dependent on someone else or a pint of Bacardi . Have a lot of me time, be a thinker, carefully analyze the decisions you make and why you are making them, be honest with yourself with past incidents, because with no honesty there will come no change.
And if at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again...
And that's my intellectual perspective!!!

R.I.P to the best show on T.V.
I gotta say I was sad to see it go. HBO's "The Wire", the best show on television, aired it's very last episode Sunday night. All of the characters were so memorable and unforgettable. McNulty, Greggs, "The Bunk", Freeman, Daniels, Omar, Snoop, Weebay, "Stringer" Bell, Marlo, Prop Joe, Cheese, Chris, Michael, Dukie, Bodie, Herc, the Greeks, Clay Davis (sshhhhiiiiiiiit...)Avon & D'Angelo Barksdale, Bunny Coleman, Prez, Naymond, Randy, Bubbles, Ervin Burrell, Carver, Mayor Carcetti. I'm sure there are a few more that I have forgotten but you get my point. All of these characters were memorable in one way or another. One of the best written and acted american shows probably in the history of television. Being that I have spent my entire life living in Baltimore, seeing the story of my train wreck of a city played out for all to see was, in my opinion, just due. The sad part is that "The Wire" only scratches the surface of the chaos that is Baltimore, Maryland. It did, however, give all of those who had no idea what was going on a shocking wake up call. Yes, this IS what really goes on in my city. From the corrupt cops to the cold blooded killing to the poverty to the hard core drug use. It's all real and all fact. To those who said "The Wire" was too extreme for even HBO, (and there were many)you apparently are not in touch with the real world. This is life. That's why "The Wire" was such a good show. It showed you every aspect of the life and times of people who live a very extreme and dynamic lifestyle. For my money that's better than anything you can make-up. I wish all the best to the cast and crew as they pursue more goals in their acting careers. That was one of the best casts I have ever seen. Hats off to everyone involved with the making of that show. Job well done. Sunday night wont be the same again. Can't wait for the DVD's and reruns. Peace.

Gates dethroned; Buffett is richest
After 13 years as the wealthiest person in the world, Microsoft's co-founder drops to third place, behind the Oracle of Omaha and Mexico's Carlos Slim Helú. Buffett and Gates are the only Americans in the top 10.
Latest Market Update
March 07, 2008 -- 13:00 ET
Warren Buffett is the richest person on the planet.
Riding the surging price of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, news, msgs) stock, the man called America's most beloved investor has seen his fortune swell to an estimated $62 billion, up $10 billion from a year ago. That massive pile of scratch puts him ahead of Microsoft (MSFT, news, msgs) co-founder Bill Gates, who had been the richest person in the world for the past 13 years.
No. 3:
Bill Gates
Gates is now worth $58 billion and is ranked third in the world. He is up $2 billion from a year ago and would have been perhaps as rich -- or richer -- than Buffett had Microsoft not made an unsolicited bid for Yahoo (YHOO, news, msgs) at the beginning of February. (Microsoft is the publisher of MSN Money.)
Microsoft shares fell 15% between Jan. 31, the day before the company announced its bid for the search-engine giant, and Feb. 11, the day we locked in stock prices for the 2008 World's Billionaires list. More than half of Gates' fortune is held outside Microsoft shares.
Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim Helú is the world's second-richest person, with an estimated net worth of $60 billion. His fortune has risen $11 billion since last March.
No. 2: Carlos Slim Helú
No. 4: Lakshmi Mittal
No. 5: Mukesh Ambani
Buffett, whose fortune is estimated based on his stake in Berkshire Hathaway and assets he holds outside the company, declined to comment on his net worth.
The race for the title of world's richest person has been extremely competitive in recent months. Class A shares of Berkshire Hathaway soared 25% between mid-July and the day we priced our list. The stock hit an all-time high of more than $150,000 a share in December. At that time Buffett was worth roughly $65 billion.
Berkshire Hathaway shares closed at $137,100 per share Tuesday, down 2% since an announcement Friday that the company's net earnings had fallen 18% in the fourth quarter of last year.
Okay guys you got me, I still have not made it in the music industry...
And guess what, I may not ever make it. And guess what, thats alright...I don't know what might happen. This journey feels right to me though. I am meeting all kinds of people from all around the world and I am having a ball doing it. Who knows what might happen. I might go to LA and meet the next big thing artist on some Unstoppable Nuklehid business, and end up managing them, or I might get a gig as an A&R somewhere. Remember I started this adventure as an intern for Sony. Who knows, I might be an actor. I am not one of those people who HAS to make it as a rapper or my life ends. I just have to be enjoying what I do, and I need the financial freedom to live how I want to live. Keep your cars and diamonds, just give me a condo in LA, Miami, and DC...I ain't asking for too much...Just enjoying life and anticipating what happens next. For the first time in my life I don't feel I have anything to prove to anyone, and am just hanging on for this wild and crazy ride of life and it feels good.

Clinton hints at shared ticket
By JIM KUHNHENN and CALVIN WOODWARD, Associated Press Writer 30 minutes ago
Hillary Rodham Clinton, fresh off a campaign-saving comeback, hinted Wednesday at the possibility of sharing the Democratic presidential ticket with Barack Obama — with her at the top. Obama played down his losses, stressing that he still holds the lead in number of delegates.
On a night that failed to clarify the Democratic race, John McCain Tuesday clinched the Republican nomination. Clinton won primaries in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, halting Obama's winning streak. Obama won in Vermont.
Both Democrats insisted on Wednesday they had the best credentials to go head to head — or as Clinton put it "toe to toe" — against McCain.
Asked on CBS's "The Early Show" whether she and Obama should be on the same ticket, Clinton said:
"That may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."
Obama, who had hoped to knock Clinton out of the race on Tuesday, said he would prevail despite facing a tenacious candidate who "just keeps on ticking." Clinton acknowledged the race was close and said it would come down to her credentials on national security and the economy.
The two presidential contenders made the rounds of the morning network television news shows Wednesday, declaring only one thing certain — that the campaign would go on and that the next big showdown would occur April 22 in Pennsylvania.
McCain, whose grasp on the nomination once seemed a distant reach, was headed for the White House Wednesday to have lunch with President Bush and get his endorsement. Bitter rivals in the 2000 presidential primaries, the two have forged an uneasy relationship during Bush's administration and have clashed on issues such as campaign finance, tax cuts, global warming and defining torture.
Despite Clinton's victories Tuesday night, Obama came away with a large share of delegates, too, in counting that continued Wednesday.
"We still have an insurmountable lead," Obama said.
Clinton and Obama spent most of the past two weeks in Ohio and Texas in a bruising campaign, with the former first lady questioning his sincerity in opposing the North American Free Trade Agreement and darkly hinting he's not ready to be commander in chief in a crisis.
Based on their current delegate counts, neither candidate can win enough delegates in the remaining primaries and caucuses to secure the nomination without the help of nearly 800 party officials and top elected officials who also have a voice in the selection. On Wednesday, Clinton and her campaign clearly aimed their case at those so-called "superdelegates" — a strategy that could take the nomination fight all the way to the party's August national convention in Denver.
"New questions are being raised, new challenges are being put to my opponent," she said. "Superdelegates are supposed to take all that information on board and they are supposed to be exercising the judgment that people would have exercised if this information and challenges had been available several months ago."
She said voters are being drawn to her argument that she would be the better commander in chief, the best steward of the economy and that she can better confront McCain in the general election.
Obama countered that on a key national security issue — the war in Iraq — "she got it wrong" by supporting Bush's call for authority to use of force.
As for superdelegates, Obama said he expected them to rally around him.
"I don't think it will necessarily go to the convention floor," he told reporters aboard his plane before taking off from San Antonio for Chicago.
He also said he will challenge Clinton on her foreign policy credentials.
"Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no," he said. "She made a series of arguments on why she should be a superior candidate. I think it's important to examine that argument."
In Tuesday's four-state competition for delegates, Clinton picked up at least 115, to at least 88 for Obama. Nearly 170 more remained to be allocated for the night, 154 of them in the Texas primary and the caucuses that immediately followed.
Obama had a lead in Texas caucuses before counting closed for the night Tuesday, to be resumed Wednesday.
Obama had a total of 1,477 delegates, including separately chosen party and elected officials known as superdelegates, according to the Associated Press count. He picked up three superdelegate endorsements Tuesday.
Clinton had 1,391 delegates. It takes 2,025 to win the nomination.
The count does not include delegates from Florida and Michigan, who were penalized by the Democratic Party for moving up their primaries ahead of a schedule set by the Democratic National Committee. None of the Democratic candidates campaigned in either state. But Clinton, who won the popular vote in both state primaries, on Wednesday renewed her call for Florida and Michigan to be counted in the nomination race.
"It's a mistake for the Democratic Party to punish these two states," she said. "I don't see how a Democratic nominee goes forward alienating two of the most important states."
McCain surpassed the 1,191 delegates needed to win his party's nomination against odds that seemed steep only a few months ago, and all but impossible last summer.
Facing a couple of well-financed marquee candidates in a crowded field, the Arizona senator opened his comeback in New Hampshire's leadoff primary, rolled over Rudy Giuliani in Florida and finished off Mitt Romney after Super Tuesday on Feb. 5.
Mike Huckabee hung in until Tuesday night, gamely keeping up the fight weeks after dropping from long shot to afterthought.

Holy Shit. this one might take the cake. Thousands infected with the HIV!!! Talk about Pass It On...
Yo. First let me say I had a ball in Vegas a couple of weeks ago. However, I was smart enough to strap up with the almighty rubber when engaging in sexual activities with complete strangers. With that said about 40,000 people in Vegas have been told they might have the HIV due to nastiness in the clinic. So the story says that the nurses were told to reuse syringes on various patients. A no no in the medical field. When word of this leaked the health board promptly investigated and shut that shit down. Now they sent out notices to the unsuspecting victims saying that they have to be retested for HIV, Hep B and C and a few other great STD's....wow. lol. messy...

LOS ANGELES — The city of Las Vegas has shut down a clinic where up to 40,000 people may have been exposed to hepatitis C and the HIV virus through the reuse of syringes and vials, officials said on Sunday.
The clinic at the heart of the scandal, the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, "was served with an emergency suspension of its business license," city authorities said in a statement.
Officials are asking about 40,000 people to be tested for hepatitis B and C and HIV because of unsafe medical practices at the clinic.

Health authorities launched an investigation into the clinic after six former patients were diagnosed with hepatitis. Nurses at the clinic were told "to reuse syringes when administering anesthesia" and "to reuse vials of medication," the city said, citing a probe by public health agencies.
The local prosecutors' office said it was closely examining the case and raised the possibility of filing charges against the center.
"It won't happen tomorrow or the next day, but we are taking a hard, fast look at all the facts in the case," District Attorney David Roger told KLAS-TV.
Some former patients had contacted lawyers for a possible class action suit against the clinic, local media reported.
The clinic did not comment directly on the allegations but expressed concern for patients infected and said it had undertaken new precautions.

Report: Amy Winehouse Diagnosed With Skin Infection
Grammy-winner Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with impetigo, a bacterial skin infection, her spokesman confirmed to People.
The British singer was prescribed antibiotics to treat the condition.
According to the Mayo Clinic Web site, “Impetigo starts as a red sore that quickly ruptures, oozes for a few days and then forms a yellowish-brown crust that looks like honey or brown sugar. The disease is highly contagious, and scratching or touching the sores is likely to spread the infection to other parts of the body as well as to other people.”

A friend of the London songstress tells People that Winehouse is not in hiding, adding, "She's never been one to care what people think."

OUCH...Janet is expected to sell 180,000 by tomorrow's Billboard charts...
Its kind of sexy because it should put her at number 1, but her last CD "20YO" debuted at number 2 with 300,000 sold the first week. I hope this isn't true though cause in retrospect it will be her lowest first week sales in 20 years.
Either way, number 1 will still be a good look for a woman who, at one point, held the record for the most consecutive number 1 albums by a female artist.
