Suffolk police are looking for the man they say assaulted his girlfriend by setting her on fire. It happened on August 18th. Police say 33-year-old Milton Franklin Mizell, Jr., of Smithfield got into a fight with his girlfriend in the 1200 block of East Washington Street in Suffolk. That's in the downtown area of the city. The fight turned violent. Police say Mizell started choking his girlfriend and refused to let her leave the house. That's when investigators say he applied hair gel to her vagina and set it on fire. The victim was able to put the fire out quickly and was not seriously injured. Mizell has been charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault among other charges. Mizell is described as 5'9", 170 lbs, with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen at a residence in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Lane in Smithfield.
