And the "Bitch Stop Hating" award goes to...Spike Lee!!

So apparently Spike Lee is mad cause lately his movies have sucked and been wayyyyyyyyyy over people's heads so he decides to go on a Tyler Perry hating spree. Spike if you are going to basically declare and proclaim somebody is taking the black race back 100 years with coon movies you have lots of places to go before you get to Tyler. Have you seen that new Wayans brothers dance movie.

Spike Lee had an interview with Ed Gordon on Our World with Black Enterprise scheduled to air this weekend. In the interview he complained about “coonery and buffoonery” and both of Tyler Perry’s shows “Meet the Browns” and “House of Payne,” comparing them to characters from minstrel shows.
“We’ve had this discussion back and forth. When John Singleton [made 'Boyz in the Hood'], people came out to see it. But when he did ‘Rosewood,’ nobody showed up. So a lot of this is on us! You vote with your pocketbook, your wallet. You vote with your time sitting in front of the idiot box, and [Tyler Perry] has a huge audience. We shouldn’t think that Tyler Perry is going to make the same film that I am going to make, or that John Singleton or my cousin Malcolm Lee [would make]. As African-Americans, we’re not one monolithic group, so there is room for all of that. But at the same time, for me, the imaging is troubling and it harkens back to ‘Amos n’ Andy.’”
OPINION: Why Tracy Morgan Isn’t Taking Us Two Steps
“Each artist should be allowed to pursue their artistic endeavors, but I still think there is a lot of stuff out today that is coonery and buffoonery. I know it’s making a lot of money and breaking records, but we can do better. … I am a huge basketball fan, and when I watch the games on TNT, I see these two ads for these two shows (Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” and “House of Payne”), and I am scratching my head. We got a black president, and we going back to Mantan Moreland and Sleep ‘n’ Eat?

Just a quick thought: Does the world run on haters now?

Think about it, everybody supposedly hates Bush, he wins the election.

Everybody hates Miss New York, she continues to keep getting shows.

Thugs hate gays, but the minute their black asses get locked up they the first ones in jail asking for some "head on the low"...LMAO

Shit, the people that hate me can quote my songs and my blog passages, and I ain't even shit right about now.

Just a thought

Hey. I just saw "Penelope", the movie, and it got me thinking

The movie is about some rich man who was in love with a poor woman. He wanted to marry her, but she was merely a servant so his family made him forget it; and marry another woman who was rich. Turns out the poor girl's mother was a witch, and when her daughter killed herself she put a hex on the family, so that the next girl born would look like a pig in the face.

Well anyways, Penelope was pig faced and her parents weren't feeling it. Her mother faked her daughter's death to keep her out of the press, and kept her locked up in hopes of breaking the curse; which wouldn't happen "until someone with royal blood fell in love with her pig face all"...Turns out Penelope began to love herself and that love was enough to break her own curse amongst all the people trying to break her down cause she was different.

This got me thinking...Regardless of who you are, there is always somebody trying to keep you down. They will find anyway to do it. And most of the time, they try to bring you down for the very thing that makes you special. Its like they can sense that power and they want to take you down for it. They know you can go places with it, and want to make you think its a hindrance and not as blessing. At that point, you begin to take yourself down. Then one day, after you finally are brought to the point of getting rid of what makes you unique by way of substance abuse (if its your personality), seeing a religious therapist (if its your sexuality), a plastic surgeon (if its physical), etc., you find out that special thing that they, and you made, you change about yourself, is what you loved about YOU the most...And that's never ever sexy.

My advice. Love yourself more and treat yourself better. And if they are trying to bring you down, tell them to kiss your ass and give them their walking papers cause you don't need them.

LMAO
