A Long Island, N.Y. home belonging to rapper 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) burned down Friday, the Associated Press reports. Six people were hospitalized but in stable condition after suffering from smoke inhalation. Their names have not been released, but a lawyer for 50 Cent's former girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, says she lived in the house with her two children, including her 10-year-old son, Marquis, with the rapper. Arson investigators reported to the scene on Friday, and firefighters call the blaze "suspicious." A spokesperson for the musician, who was not at the house, released a statement Friday expressing relief that no one was hurt in the incident. "Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property," said the spokesperson. "He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquis, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings." One of the first firefighters to arrive at the house, Dix Hills Fire Department Chief Larry Feld, told Newsday, "I would say there is a strong – a strong, strong – possibility that [the fire] is suspicious." When asked why, he replied: "The rapid movement of the fire. The volume of the fire ... It was engulfed. The home was totally gutted." Tompkins filed suit against 50 Cent earlier in the year, alleging that he promised her the house – valued at $2.4 million – over a decade ago.– Brian Orloff http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20203406,00.html

Especially if you goin down there to cop some tennis. Nikes in particular. A rookie state trooper pulled over a white van in a random attempt to ruin yet another driving record with a speeding ticket. The trooper asked if he could search the vehicle, and like a dummy, the driver said yes...JACKPOT!!! The trooper found 500 plus pairs of Nike tennis shoes. But here is the kicker....ALL THEM BITCHES WAS FAKE!! PHONY, FUGAZIG, BOOTLEG, COUNTERFEIT, KNOCKOFFS!!! He promptly locked their asses up and charged them with intent to distribute counterfeit clothing. That's why I only buy shirts, jeans and inscence from the flea market. lol.

BALTIMORE -- Two people were charged after authorities said more than 500 pairs of counterfeit Nike shoes were seized from a van on I-95.

Maryland State Police said it might be one of the largest busts of its kind in recent history.

The white van was pulled over for speeding Monday evening on southbound I-95 near mile marker 81, according to police.
The two people inside the vehicle -- Cire Birane and Kebe Babadia -- consented to a search after Trooper Ryan McNeely noted their behavior.
"(McNeely) noticed the cage that was separating the back of the van from the front was covered up with a rug," said Sgt. George Wooden. "And he could see there were holes, but they were trying to cover that hole up."
Thirty-three cases of shoes, 528 pairs total, were seized. Investigators said they have a street value of more than $40,000.
The suspects were charged with possession with intent to sell counterfeit clothing over $1,000.
Police said the shoes will be donated to area charities.

Folks have resorted to standing outside praying for cheaper gas.

Baltimore's battle with gas prices rages on. First the crackheads stole 240 gallons of gas, and now the holy Christians have been praying against the gas prices.

Normally, I would laugh at these Christians, but my car cost $41.00 to fill up these days. It used to be $25.00. I'ma go pray with them.

Standing alongside a row of gas pumps at a Shell station, Rocky Twyman joined hands with several cohorts, prayed to God for economic and social relief then sang "We Shall Overcome" - inserting the lyrics "We'll have lower gas prices" the second time around. For nearly a month, Twyman, a Rockville resident who serves as music director for a Baltimore church, has been praying at gas pumps - and anywhere else he is welcome - asking God to lower prices. Of course, since he started his prayer campaign, or what he calls a movement, the price of gas just keep inching upwards."We've got a lot more praying to do, man," he said to a German television crew that came to film one of his recent prayer sessions at the Shell station. The prayer may not yet have had a global impact on oil prices, but Twyman's modest effort has nonetheless drawn global attention. News outlets from around the world have called - he's brought his prayer to Australian radio, Arab television and (despite his personal penchant for classical and gospel) a Florida rock station. He's prayed on radio programs in Texas and Oregon and repeated his simple invocation - "Oh God, deliver us from these high gas prices" - and in person in San Francisco. Shortly after his interview on Auto Mobil, a popular German automotive show, someone from a Colombian radio program reached him on his cell phone. Then a Russian news outlet called."This has exploded," said Twyman, 59. "The big thing about this movement is that it's giving people hope."He says that in Florida, gas prices fell after his radio appearance and some people, inspired by his example, have started praying at the pump on their own. With prayer and more prayer, he believes prices will come tumbling down like the "walls of Jericho.""It could be Buddha. It could be the Dalai Lama," said Twyman, himself a Seventh Day Adventist, who believes the spike in oil prices and natural disasters of late are a sign that the end of the world is nigh. "We just think there needs to be some divine intervention. Because man has become greedy. How much money do they have to make while all these people are struggling?"But the attention prompts the question: Why, with complex, global, social, economic and political forces at work, do people care about one Maryland man and his godly mission?"Praying anywhere but in church is not something Europeans do. It's uniquely American to involve God," said Johannes Wiebus, the German producer who captured Twyman with five fellow prayers at the gas station in Washington last week "It's an interesting way to look at it."Germans, he noted, pay twice as much for gas and would be "jumping for joy" if they were asked to pay the equivalent of $4 a gallon. The show is not certainly not trying to poke fun at Twyman, he said, but some Germans may wonder: "Why doesn't the government invest more in public transit? Why don't people walk? Why don't people live and work in cities?"Maxine Grossman, a religious studies professor at the University of Maryland said the idea of praying at gas pumps "totally fascinated" her.In a country where freedom of religion is so fundamental, "personal and sometimes idiosyncratic ways of being religious are more acceptable because diversity is the norm and there's no state church," she said."One of the things that might make this fascinating to people outside the U.S. is that the U.S. is a very religious place, and I think people in other countries find that unusual," she added. "Western Europe tends to be more secular as a gross generalization. ... Especially to Europeans, this kind of personal intense religiousness does not feel familiar."The Rev. Emmett C. Burns Jr., a state delegate and the pastor of Rising Sun First Baptist Church in Randallstown, where Twyman is the organist and music director, said it wasn't clear to him why Twyman's campaign caught on."It's a novel idea. And it's different. When that's all you can do you do that," said Burns, who plans on combating high prices his own way - by giving away $1,000 of his own money to pay for gas for struggling motorists in his district.Twyman's plan is a bit gentler on his pocket. The idea hit him while working at a Washington soup kitchen he frequents and listening to the other volunteers - mostly seniors - complain about how the high cost of gas was affecting them. Twyman, a freelance public relations consultant who has never been shy about publicity, called in Fox News and the Washington Post and marched with a handful of volunteers to the gas station on the corner where they did their divine business. In a way, it's all in a day's work for Twyman, a portly, gray-haired and gregarious fellow with a booming voice and a long history of community activism - most of which is has focused on action over supplication. Though he has loads of nieces and nephews, he doesn't have a spouse or children, which he says leaves him time for the causes he is passionate about, including homelessness and bone marrow donor registration. He became interested in the latter after a close friend died of leukemia, and by his own estimate, he's roped 14,000 people into joining a national registry of donors. He also - and he's almost as proud of this - was behind the (failed) effort to nominate Oprah Winfrey for the Nobel Peace Prize."It comes from my mother," he said. "She just really taught us to be concerned for others."On the face of it, the prayer drive may seem rather intangible compared to his other campaigns, but he also has big - if vague - plans to combine the spirituality with action, kind of like the Montgomery, Ala., bus boycott.People should carpool or walk, he said. They should drive cars other than SUVs. They should push their representatives to search for alternative fuel sources. He also has a petition up on his "pray down the high gas prices movement" Web site."I don't know how we're going to get this activist side started, but we're working on it," he said. "People need to make sacrifices."His ride is a Buick LeSabre, which costs about $40 to fill up. It's the only practical way to get from Rockville to Baltimore to Washington, the commute he did last week when he had to play the organ at a funeral before the date with German television.Technically, he could take the subway from his home to the soup kitchen where he's been going on weekly praying jaunts, but that would get in the way of the photo opportunities. "I have to fill up my pump for the story," he said. "I just feel like the results outweigh the violation."

ABINGDON, Md. (WJZ) ― One fallout from record oil and gas prices is a rise in gas thefts in Maryland and across the nation.Kathryn Brown has more on recent thefts in our state. Not so long ago, gas pumps were just that. But with prices near record highs, they might as well be full of cold hard cash. Many thieves across the country and right here in Maryland are treating them like they are.For more than three decades, Chris Boyle has padlocked the gas tank on the lot of his Abingdon Buick dealership, but a current crime wave sweeping the country is being fueled by record-high prices where it hurts the most."We have come in a couple times in the last several months and found gas caps on the ground from vehicles thinking somebody's trying to siphon a little bit here and there, but we never thought about losing a quantity like that," Boyle said.Thieves recently broke into the dealership and cracked the padlock, stealing more than 250 gallons of gas. Then they came back for more."They've come back for a second time and they broke the handle off and the lock but they couldn't get any gas this time," he said.Boyle is not alone. Across the country, gas thieves are siphoning gas wherever they can get it. With the thieves still on the loose, police are cautioning drivers to keep a close eye on their own gas tanks."Definitely a sign of the times. Nobody knows when this is going to end or where it's going to end. You know people are strapped and they're just doing what they gotta do," Boyle said.Police warn thieves can easily switch the hose if you leave your car while pumping gas and urge drivers to consider buying gas cap locks.

Racism Lives: Bar in Georgia sell racist Obama shirts...

They callin him the knock out kid. lol. I wanna buy this guy a round at the bar...shake his hand...something. I feel like I owe him. I'm sure Vanilla Ice is somewhere applauding this shit too being as though Suge dangled him over the balcony for his Ice Ice Baby royalties...lol. Karma is a bitch... lol

Suge Knight Knocked Out In Club Brawl,
Man Says He Didn’t Use Weapon To Deliver Blow
Death Row Records founder Suge Knight was involved in an alteration at a Los Angeles night spot over the weekend that resulted in the hefty hit maker getting knocked out cold.

According to TMZ, Knight and a group of men beat an unidentified man at Shag nightclub after the Death Row head and the man got into a heated discussion. Knight and the man were involved in a conversation before witnesses said Knight shouted “I want my money!”

After Knight and his crew assaulted the man, TMZ reports the man got up from the ground and landed a punch to Knight’s face that resulted in the infamous music mogul hitting the deck. Sources told the gossip Web site Knight was out cold for nearly three minutes.

New details are emerging that suggest Knight was involved in two separate incident within a matter of minutes. The party involved in the first melee may not have been the individual responsible for flooring Knight. According to reports, a suspect with the man who received the beat down from Knight and his cronies may have been the one who delivered the blow with a weapon. Another scenario that is being spread is that another group witnessing the brawl may have had a role Knight’s injury.

TMZ is now reporting two men (one of which Knight was acquainted with) were playfully arguing outside of the club over who made more money when Knight walked mistakenly believed the verbal tussle to be serious. Knight and the party he was unfamiliar with got into the altercation. According to TMZ, the unidentified man (pictured above) claims he did not use a weapon when he struck Knight.

Knight and his entourage exited the club amid a minor frenzy following the fight. A woman attempted to drive Knight away in an SUV but hit other cars when she both pulled forward and reversed. Security removed the woman from the car and another member of Knight’s posse drove him to the hospital. According to the report, police attempted to talk to Knight at the medical facility but he was uncooperative and refused to file a police report regarding the incident.

Updated pictures of what appears to be Knight in a discombobulated state and with a blood-stained shirt appear on TMZ.com. -Jayson Rodriguez

Talkin' about the fashion police...Insane whore child gets mad cause they won't let her in the prom in hooker gear, and has to be detained...

Do the 'nigga moments' ever stop Huey?

The nigga moment of this week is some 17 year child who wasn't allowed in her prom due to her hoish attire. They ended up having to lock her black ass up because she wanted to make a scene and demand her money back.

You want to know what? They should have locked her parents up as well. The prom wasn't at the playboy mansion sis, put some clothes on. You deserved every bit of your night in jail for mistaking your prom for the set of a Nelly video.

A Houston, Texas, teenager, Marche Taylor, was led away in handcuffs because her dress was to revealing. Actually, the truth is that she was arrested because she wouldn't leave when she was supposed to. The best I can tell, she caused no violence, and she just wanted her prom money back. If the cost of her prom was the same as my son's, I don't blame her. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry about this story.Depending on who you are; where you live; who your peers are and how much money you have, you will, as a teen, do the best you can to look "with it" and maybe then some. I think from all reports that this girl tried to put together her own ensemble and didn't make a good decision. She may have been guilty of bad taste; one shouldn't be arrested for that. The police had every right to escort her out; they should have remembered she was a little girl in front of her peers; the handcuffs were ridiculous. If you disagree with me then just replace her with your own child. While we live in a poorer area, my son attends a school where the families have money so the girls are able to purchase "gowns" for prom and for homecoming they are able to purchase shorter fashionable dresses or skirts. They are able to get their hair done beautifully; worlds apart from this girl who was arrested. When sending your own daughter to a prom it seems to make sense to me that there are several things you can do to assure that your daughter has a fun night.I think it is important to remember that she is with a young man and that it makes sense to see her dressed to make him proud to be with her; not to turn him on.The dress should reflect the elegance and importance of the event which is the most important event of the year and the one formal dance of the year. While it is popular to try and look 25 you should remember that your daughter is 17 or 18 and her dress should reflect that.It is best to error on the side of being conservative rather than the side of being risqué.It is important to remember that how she dresses is sending a social message. How do you want her to be perceived? What type of remarks do you want people making about her?

A day after many observers declared it nearly impossible for Sen. Hillary Clinton to overtake Sen. Barack Obama to win the Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton told USA Today, "I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on." As evidence, the story said, Clinton cited an Associated Press article "that found how Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.
"There's a pattern emerging here," Clinton said.
To many, it was a shocking statement — equating "hard-working Americans" with "white Americans" and a naked attempt to cast herself as "the white candidate" in the race.
But while bloggers, some columnists and editorial writers and some readers jumped on the comments, stories in the mainstream media downplayed them.
Even USA Today, to whom Clinton uttered the comment as a response to a general question about her campaign, broke the story under a bland Web site headline, "Clinton makes case for wide appeal."
An Associated Press story by Beth Fouhy seemingly attempted to validate Clinton's comments and to marginalize those who found them offensive.
Thursday's Chicago Sun-Times reflected the assessment of pundits that Hillary Clinton has no chance."Obama's campaign did not respond to the comments, which generated buzz in the liberal blogosphere," it said.
"Working-class whites overwhelmingly favor Clinton over Obama, and their view of the Illinois senator has grown increasingly negative since late last year, according to Associated Press-Yahoo News polling. In an AP-Yahoo survey a month ago, more than half or 53 percent of whites who have not finished college had negative impressions of Obama, up a 12 points since November."
By contrast, on NBC's "First Read" blog, Clinton's statement was immediately portrayed as a liability among superdelegates, who at this point will decide the nomination.
"It's comments like that one that might drive more supers toward Obama pretty quickly. Why? Because they know the math, but they don't want her to spend three weeks making a case that Obama can't win. It will only weaken him. Here's what Obama backer Chris Dodd said yesterday, per NBC's Ken Strickland. 'You're going to be asking a bunch of people [in West Virginia] to vote against somebody who's likely to be your nominee a few weeks later? And turn around and ask the very same people a few weeks later to reverse themselves and now vote for [Obama] on election day?'

Messy of the Week, Angela Basset as Voletta Wallace...

I don't mean no harm, but are all roles of black distraught mothers or wives guaranteed to Angela in Hollywood?

I think about the only mother she didn't play was Ray Charles', thank the lord, cause that lady was excellent. I remember Angela did all the fussing about Halle Berry when she won the Oscar. Note to Angela, stop playing the same role over and over again and typecasting yourself, and get some versatility in your life.

Then maybe the Oscar will come.

Then comes the fact that she is far to pretty to play...errrrrr...nevermind. LMAO
But lets be honest, would you real cast Beyonce to play Ester Rolles. I mean really...LMAO

Yo...You've got to get this new Robyn CD...Its HOTTTTTT!!!

You might remember Robyn. You might not. It was weird cause in LA I actually picked up her old cd cause I remembered I liked her hit "Show Me Love" back in either middle school or highschool, and it was only .99 cent. So then I started hear about this new album that she has out, and I hear that she wrote Britney's "Piece of me" and did a few remixes for Snoop Dogg and I checks it out.

Basically, the bitch is bad. The album is interesting. Kinda like a NERD album, Kelis album, Missy album, or something from Timbaland, but it has a strong pop/electronica/hip hop blend. Really cool. Its interesting that the reviews are saying its the best pop album since P!nk's "Misunderstood", and P!nk was the white chick with R&B vocals that kind of replaced Robyn. Anyways, if you want some musical, bold, and foward thinking, check it out. Her hip hop numbers are actually cool as hell.

I am having a rough week, so I felt like giving you all the finger...

Don't worry, I still love ya'll though. LMAO

I have a show I am hosting on Friday and another one pending next Friday.

I am running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

I am still hung over from the weekend, and I been sooooooooo good with the drinking lately. I'm kinda disappointed, but what can you do.

Anyways, the one good thing is I picked up the Robyn CD and its helping me get through this crazy ass week, and next week can't be worst. She is like a more soft spoken P!nk, but she still has as much to say and P!nk. Ya'll probably remember her from the late 90s teen pop boom. She has the huge hit "Show Me Love".

Krizz Speaks on: The Great Enablers....

You know it's funny how life works. You get yourself into a a nice little zone, you get focused and determined and shit like dat...then you fuck it all up. And when I say you I mean YOU. You see it's very easy to place blame on others for our own shortcomings. However, at the end of the day, who's to blame? Is it the person or obstacle that is standing between you and your goals? I say no. The blame is on you and you alone. Case in point. I have a friend. One of my best friends actually. He happens to be a genius. Not in the traditional Doogie Howser M.D. sense but more of an entertainment genius. Everything he says, does and predicts is on point when it comes to entertainment, mostly music. When this guy puts his foot into somethng and is 100 percent on fire you can tell he is bound for great things. Then a certain someone waltzes their way back into his life and completely derails him. It's actually kind of amazing to watch this whole thing unfold. As as outsider looking in, it's always easier to give an opinion on situations because you're not dealing with it yourself. However, what I have observed is that my best friend enables this person to do this to him. Misery loves company and most people are power hungry. If a fucking miserable someone knows they have power over you why wont they continue to use it? Why should you be happy and they are not? My friend says that he can't understand why this person does this or why this person does that. I tell him "look, it doesn't matter what they do or why they do it. It's how you respond to it." At some point in our lives we gotta make some tough choices. Many times those choices have to do with letting people go. Even people we love, or think we love. Many times we are in love with the idea of being in love. It gets confusing as hell but it all goes back to my point. You can move to another state, another country even. But if you bring along all the bad habits it wont matter. You'll be dealing with the same shitty circumstances that you were dealing with back home. I'm not trying to be preachy n shit but I had to deal with issues myself that were very similar so I speak from some experience. Anyway, in closing I say that in life sometimes you gotta be selfish. If that means cuttin muthafuckas off to better yourself then so be it. Self preservation is key. You'll be a better and much happier person for it in the long run. Now get the fuck outta here....

Cops shoot a 62 year old woman in the hip!!!!

Yo, it appears no one is safe anymore. The "law and order" of Howard County, Maryland are doing their best to compete with the cruddyness of the Baltimore City PD. So they get a complaint about a disturbance at a retirement home. The place only accepts people 62 years and older. To make a long story short, this old bat comes diving at the cops with a knife and they clapped her ass in the hips. LMAO!! She went straight to shock trauma. The officers are now on "administrative leave". How you gonna shoot an old lady in the hips?!! And you ask me why I don't like cops...What a mess...

Howard officers involved in shooting woman identified
62-year-old victim is expected to be released from hospital, police say
By Tyeesha Dixon Sun reporter
12:24 PM EDT, May 1, 2008

Howard County police this morning released the names of two officers involved in the shooting of a 62-year-old woman yesterday at the senior citizen apartment complex in Columbia where she lives.Police said Pearl Harris, 62, was waving a large knife while confronting Officer Matthew Mehrer. When another officer, Pfc. Mark Baxter, ordered Harris to drop the knife, she lunged at Mehrer, police said. Baxter fired his gun once and struck Harris in the hip, police said. The officers were responding to a call around 4:30 p.m. about a disturbance in an apartment at the 99-unit Park View at Snowden River complex in the 8600 block of Snowden River Parkway. The complex is for residents 62 and older. The shot injured Harris in the lower torso, and she was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma. Late last night she was upgraded from serious condition and was reported to be stable; she is expected to be released today, police said.
Police said Harris was acting erratically at the time of the shooting.Harris will be transferred to a psychiatric facility for evaluation, police said. She will not face possible criminal charges until necessary treatment is complete. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave. Baxter has been with the department since 2001, and Mehrer graduated from the police academy in February and is in his 11th week of field training. This was the second police-involved shooting in less than a month in Howard County.
